The rim is 23.7% thinner than the base, so the dripper sheds unnecessary heat where it doesn’t help, while the thicker lower section stays warm. There’s no separate base—UFO sits directly on your server—so the warmth of the brewed coffee can circulate upward and support a steadier brew from start to finish. Unlike traditional protruding-rib designs that rely on risers to avoid air-lock, the UFO’s internal air channels keep airflow moving behind the filter for consistent drawdowns without stalling.
